Sew Co. is an industrial manufacturing facility.   Our skilled and experienced team can cut, sew, press and package any sewn good.  We pride ourselves on quality craftsmanship and care for the fabrics we use and the objects we create.  Our clients appreciate our transparent practices and communicative nature.

Sew Co. is a sewn product development company.  Starting from initial concept ideas, sketches, or prototypes, we create production-ready patterns and sales-ready samples.  We have backgrounds in fashion design, pattern making, costuming and fine art.  Our design-driven perspective provides us with a common language we can share with our clients.  



SewCo. is a full-service cut and sew manufacturer of highly crafted sewn objects with socially responsible and unconventional business concepts. After watching thousands of textile job move overseas, Sew Co. was founded in 2010 as an effort to preserve the skill of sewing and our domestic manufacturing economy.  We provide living wage work in a light-filled studio.  Our focus is on discerning quality.  We believe the way to compete with overseas production is through exquisite craftsmanship.

Pattern Making

We are very adept at making patterns for products ranging from three dimensional objects to handbags to apparel.  Pattern making is the blue print to building any great design.  We hand draft all of our patterns on gridded pattern paper.  We offer oaktag transfers.  We can also work with one of our partners to have pattern digitized and graded.  We thrive on puzzles.  


 We offer sample sewing as a prerequisite to an initial production order, as a continuation of our pattern making process, and as sales tool for our clients.  

Design development

We are designers at heart.  We love the challenge of design and finding solutions that streamline functionality while enhancing aesthetics.  We can work from images, sketches, historical references, or rough concepts.  Through storyboards and sketches we present to clients  for a collaborative design process.   

Material resourcing

We can help you define the right materials to suit your design and where to find them.  Our experience in the industry has provided us with a full library of contacts for fabrics, trims, notions, and ancillary services.  



We love making multiples!   Our industry-vertern sewers and cutters + our vast array of machinery has us well equipped to produce most sewn products. Our cutting room has two 40 foot long cutting tables.  We can spread, layer and cut your fabric with a electric blade or custom cut with hand scissors.  Our tidy sewing room is filled with natural light and spacious working surfaces.  Quality and attention to detail is our competitive edge. We also offer low minimums.  


Folding, tagging, wrapping, labeling are all possible.


We can ship your products direct to your customer.  Be it wholesale or retail, we can pack and ship orders through multiple selling channels and carriers.  Storage and inventory management are additional services we provide.

our process

Sew Co. is a relatively small cut and sew shop with great attention to detail and quality.  We believe the only way to compete with overseas production is through exquisite craftsmanship.  We care about what we make and are not willing to sacrifice quality for speed.  We seek clients who value our labor and skill and have a design-focused product.  

We do charge for production by the piece, but it is of course calculated by time spent.  Our production rate is $40/hr so that we can pay a living wage to our employees and cover our overhead expenses.  We just like to be up-front with potential clients about that. We have low production minimums, so that we can service most levels of need, however that implies obvious implications for your economies of scale should you choose to produce small runs (some small runs will be performed at an our hourly rate).  

The best place for us to start for new production clients is to first receive some images and any target labor costs + initial quantities you have.  Following that review we will request samples of your product to review machine requirements and our ability to replicate construction methods.  We require cutting and sewing a sample with materials you provide to give us a time estimate so we can provide you with a piece price and you an opportunity to review our work.  Our sample rate is $50/hr.

We are very adept at pattern and sample making, along with business development.  Our development rate is $75/hr.  The best place to start for new development clients is for us to review digital images, sketches, samples, fabrics - any visual materials you have to convey your product, so that we can define scope and scale of a potential project.  From there we can schedule a meeting and review a project contract.  

As well, we do have a fulfillment department that can package and ship your product direct to customer or drop ship, depending on the product and packaging.  We charge a storage and inventory fee along with a per shipment fee, both determined by scope of the arrangement.
